No, scissor lifts are not designed for operation on slopes hence can only be operated on sloped surfaces. Upon being used on a slope, they become unstable and tip over easily, causing very serious accidents. It should, therefore, be placed on flat ground not beyond the specified level of tolerance as stipulated by the scissor lift. If work has to be performed on sloping ground, then other machinery that’s suitable for sloping terrain should be employed for the task.
Don’t use the scissor lift directly on grass generally. The grass surfaces can be uneven, soft, or unstable, and that’s how it may not hold the stability well and safe to lift any longer on them.
However, if one has to use it on grass: Thoroughly assess the ground condition. Create a solid base using plywood sheets or with ground protection mats lying flat. Make sure that the grass is dry and the ground below is fine. Keep within manufacturer’s ground pressure and slope recommendation. Always put safety first and think about different equipment in case the grass surface does not prove to be favorable.
